DUBBO FIRM WINS GLOBAL AWARD

AXXIS Technology has been named the Microsoft Partner of the Year in the Small Business Specialist Category at Microsoft's prestigious Worldwide Partner awards. The awards are held in conjunction with the annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC).

The awards are the most prestigious IT awards in the world and this year over 2700 entries were received – setting a new record. The Small Business Specialist Award is open to all Partners from across the world. This makes the competition in this category very tough. The awards are designed to showcase the best IT solutions and best IT businesses from across the world.

The award was presented to Mr Mathew Dickerson at a gala ceremony on 12 July in Boston at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Award Ceremony in front of thousands of people from the best IT companies from across the world.

Mr Mathew Dickerson , Founder and Senior Network Consultant at AXXIS Technology commented “All of the staff at AXXIS Technology are very proud of this achievement as it is an indication that the effort and work that they all put in on a daily basis is being noticed by someone external. They are all very dedicated to delivering the best possible IT solutions and this recognition from Microsoft shows that they we are the best. We are very proud to be the best in the world in our field and thank Microsoft for this recognition.”

REGIONAL BUSINESSES IN TELSTRA AWARD FINALS

Two regional businesses are state finalists in the prestigious Telstra Business Awards. Barnson Pty Ltd, Dubbo and PBA Safety Pty Ltd, Albury are both finalists in the Telstra Business Awards Panasonic Australia Business Award category.

Barnson Pty Ltd is an engineering consulting firm established by two engineers in 1992. Their services include concept planning and approval applications, surveying, quality assurance testing, project management, building design and documentation.

Barnson has a strong client base throughout regional NSW in the mining, agriculture, health and construction sectors. In 2004, Barnson was included in the BRW Fast 100 list of fastest growing businesses.

PBA Safety Pty Ltd imports and manufactures safety equipment for domestic markets as well as markets in Asia, North America and Africa . Established in 1997, the head office, warehouse and manufacturing plant are located in Albury.

Imported safety items include safety cabinets, safety cans, hazmats, drum handling equipment and spill containment systems. The Albury plant manufactures safety equipment including security cages, pallet storage cabinets, eyewashes and safety showers.

The state winners will be announced at a presentation dinner on August 18 at the Four Seasons hotel, Sydney . We wish both companies good luck.
